The culture of honour conference was amazing, a great privilege to have Danny and Sheri Silk and the team from Bethel with us. North Kent Community Church did an amazing job of organising and hosting the event, and our worship team were superb.
We have some great testimonies coming through - God is good. A lady healed of bladder stones, and another healed of neck and arm problems which she had for 2 years.

We are now drawing breath and starting to think about the visit of Bill Johnson next May - put the dates in your dairy now so that you don't miss it. Bill will be with us 24th and 25th May and we expect to start the conference on the Sunday evening 23rd May. Details will follow shortly on the NKCC website www.nkcc.org.uk

Thursday 22 October 2009

Back in Redding and having a good time. So good to see so many friends again, we have been given a wonderful welcome back.

Lots of good testimonies as well - a 17 year old healed of dyslexia and reading two 600 page books in 2 weeks, stories of autism being healed. Also from NKCC a young child with kidney failure having significant improvement.

We are here with David Webster from NKCC to develop our plans to start a full time school of supernatural ministry in Kent starting September 2010 - we are getting loads of support from the people here.

Thursday: we spoke to the British students here, telling them our vision and prophetic journey (quite a story), then we sat in on a school staff meeting, next we spoke to Dann Farrelly about curriculum development and last we saw Paul Manwaring to discuss Global Legacy. Quite a day.

Friday: off for breakfast with friends Lori and Barry Byrne, then catching up with Kristien Schubert from Rennes, France. This afternoon we will be "in school".

Looking forward to the Healing Rooms tomorrow.

Thursday 27 August 2009

What a great summer. Kim and I have been enjoying the lovely British sunshine; we have been busy catching up with family and friends after our 3 months in California and are looking forward to a weekend at home.
I have been doing some medical work and was pleased when one of the patients asked me to pray for their healing during a consultation because he knew that I was a Christian (as was he).
We are looking forward to starting our School of Supernatural Ministry in the evenings, having had a successful pilot year on Wednesday mornings - we will meet on alternate Wednesday evenings starting September 16th (details on our website www.nkcc.org.uk)
It is great that David and Jo are now living in New Ash Green and part of NKCC -we are enjoying having them nearby. Kerry is also likely to be on the move as she is aiming at a more senior level Physiotherapy job.
I am looking forward to preaching in NKCC on September 6th to start to share some of what we have learnt. It is going to be an exciting Autumn.

Monday 3 August 2009

Rendezvous (RDV - the French Bible Week) was amazing once again. The presence of God was tangible, and there was great joy and liberty. The French team did an amazing job of organisation and leadership and it was a great privilege to work with them.
Kim spoke about "personal freedom" and was excellent, helping many people to enter greater levels of freedom.
I led a seminar track on "Creating a Supernatural Culture" which was very well received; Julian Adams led a "Prophetic Track" which Kim also helped with.
There were some extraordinary encounters with God, salvations, baptisms and healings.
A lady from Metz was born blind in her left eye; she was born again about 3 months ago and at RDV God healed her and she started to see out of this eye. Her son was born again and healed of an abnormal heart rhythm. Both of them were baptised in the river at Besseges along with 3 others.
A young lady was healed of a problem with her achilles tendon, and there were various other healings of people with bad knees and backs. A young girl scalded her foot and was healed later that day; one of the leaders, Jean-Philippe, was healed of a scalded hand.
One of our youth leaders had to leave early for an operation to investigate and treat endometriosis - she was found to be completely clear.
God is amazing. His kingdom is advancing in France.

Thursday 23 July 2009

Just getting ready to go to Rendezvous, the French Bible week which will be great - the theme is "Living a supernatural life". We are looking forward to passing on what we have received and seeing so many friends again.

Kim and I spoke at the NKCC school of supernatural ministry yesterday; it was very good. This was the end of our first year and people have grown so much in their knowledge of God, experiences of Him, and learning to show God's goodness to others. It has been a privilege to be involved.
From September we will start the course again on alternate Wednesday evenings starting 16th September - anyone can enrol for the course.

Monday 20 July 2009

Back home for 5 days now, and the sleep pattern is improving. We have both been getting to sleep around 4am some nights so midnight was a good improvement.
First Sunday back in NKCC yesterday - what a great church. We sensed the presence of God right from the beginning of the morning meeting. We talked about our time in California, Kim doing most of the speaking. The main thrust of what we said is that God is good and he has set us free, and that we now know these things to a deeper level. Kim was excellent sharing about Freedom and a good number of people have told us how helpful it was.
Afternoon BBQ to say goodbye to our Impact students which was a good time.
Then in the evening we had a meeting to share some more of our thoughts and experiences; friends from other churches in Kent joined us and we had a fantastic time in God's presence. Kim and I prayed for many people and saw God releasing His power.
My Dad was with us for the day which was great - in the evening meeting he had a new experience of God. Yeah.
On Thursday we will fly to France for Rendezvous, the French Bible Week which should be great. The theme this year is "Living a Supernatural Life".
Thanks to our friends in Bethel, we miss you already; you have given us so much to share with others.

We had a great time in the healing rooms on Saturday. I like being in the "Encounter Room", where I took several opportunities to pray for people. I prayed with one young man who had problems with lots of "floaters" in his eyes. A few minutes later he testified that he only had one floater left!
Sunday was a good finale. Joaquin Evans, who oversees the Healing Rooms, preached in the evening - hilarious, faith building and impartational. Finished with the now traditional "In and Out" Burger after the service.
This morning we had managed to book into a free Kayak Tour of Whiskey Town Lake for a couple of hours and then had a pcinic and went swimming. We are out this evening, -rumour has it that we had better start packing! We are driving down to San Francisco tomorrow to catch our 6.50pm flight.

Pete says:

I also have a testimony of a lady with Leukaemia healed, and another person in the same family with another form of cancer healed.

God is good.

Now it is time to show his goodness to the UK and France - come on !!

Keep watching this blog for testimonies.

Thursday 9 July 2009

Sunday was great again, then we went to Lassen Volcanic Park for a couple of days; we booked in to a nice bed and breakfast where we had stayed previously, but this time we had booked a cheaper room. When we arrived we were given a free upgrade to the room we had previously stayed in - the difference in price was exactly the same as the money we had put in an offering on Sunday evening. On Tuesday we went walking in Drakesbad and saw some volcanic thermal features (steam vents, boiling mud) and at the end of that we stopped off at a holiday ranch for a drink - for some reason they said "this is your lucky day, you can have the coffee and muffins for free. God really is creative in blessing us, and gives more than we ask or imagine.
On Wednesday we went to the Bethel Staff meeting, had the privilege of sharing a little about our 3 months and then the whole of the staff prayed for us, laying hands on us and sending us back to the UK and Europe - exciting times.

We are starting to get ourselves ready for our return - we will be sad to leave here, but happy to be home. Please pray for our "reentry" as we are aware of a lot of expectation and we want to be wise in all that we do.

We are looking forward to seeing family and friends, our NKCC family and Rendezvous (the French Bible Week) where we will catch up with our friends in France.

We will keep the blog going with testimonies etc.

This weekend will be busy - our last time in the Healing Rooms on Saturday morning, and then we have been invited to a "Prophetic Round Table" Saturday afternoon, and Saturday evening we will go out for a meal with Faith. Sunday we will be busy as well, then Monday we will be relaxing a bit and getting ready to leave on Tuesday.

We'll try to give you news of our last weekend before we fly out.

We had a great 4th of July. Pete and I went to the Beach at nearby Whiskey Town Lake - as did half of Redding and most boat enthusiasts in Northern Calafornia! We actually had a great time - 39C, cool lake, beautiful mountains (boat engines revving!)- we both said it reminded us of being on holiday in Turkey!

About 5.30 we made our way to a park in front of the Convention Centre in central Redding. We joined Mary and Kim Andersson and their family and church members. (Kim and Mary lead a church which is linked to Bethel and Morning Star in nearby Anderson. They are lovely people.)We sat on the grass watchng various Redding home-grown talent until 10pm when there were fireworks. They were amazing for a community the size of Redding. It is very interesting to hear the pride in their country and the value of freedom etc. It was a true Amercian Cultural Experience and a really good evening.
We spoke at Youth on Wednesday - apparently we were "awesome"!! It was scary but fun for me!

Friday 3 July 2009

We have walked to some waterfalls recently, they are very beautiful as the snow melt water cascades down the mountains. The water is very cold - we bravely waded in !!

Independence Day tomorrow - we have decided to risk life and limb to be amongst the crowds for the festivities and fireworks. Apparently our English accents may attract some attention, but we are hoping not to be thrown in the river as that too is very cold.

Thursday 2 July 2009

Good morning from California. The sun has come up and it looks set to be another hot day - last night it was 99F at 10pm.
We had the privilege of speaking at Bethel youth last night; they asked us to tell our stories, particularly from our young days! Kim was excellent, and then I followed on and we were both well received. Then it was down to In N Out burger to "hang out" with the team. Good fun. It was strange getting involved in public speaking again for the first time in over 2 months.

We will be having breakfast with Danny and Sheri Silk tomorrow at a nice place called Deja Vu - they do great pancakes. It will be good to have some more time with them and we are really looking forward to having them with us in North Kent in November for a conference on "A Culture of Honour" - we believe this is one of the fundamental principles which will underlie a sustained powerful move of God, releasing people into their full potential. Do plan to be there, details are on our church website www.nkcc.org.uk

Sunday 28 June 2009

The Kingdom Culture conference was great; the highlight being the teaching. It was all good, and Steve Thompson from Morning Star was brilliant - very thought provoking and inspirational. Kris Vallotton and Danny Silk were also on top form. We have the DVD set of the messages - "get in line" as the Americans say.
Having the conference and the worship school here at the same time meant for a busy place and the Healing Rooms were packed yesterday. We did a "Fire Tunnel" to welcome people into the Encounter Room - I thought they were going out the back door and circling round the building for "another go" since the people just kept on coming. Lots of people were healed in the encounter room before "prayer" (I am learning to redefine what I think prayer is !) and it was an amazing atmosphere.
Plans are in our heads for a healing centre in North Kent - watch this space and come and join us.

We seem to be getting busy socially - as we enter our last 2 weeks here we are trying to see various people before we leave. We feel that we are developing relationships that will continue both in the USA and also the UK which is exciting and encouraging.

It is now very hot here 108F (43C) - too hot to do much outside. Praise God for a swimming pool and air conditioning.

Friday 26 June 2009

MORE FUN !!
FUN FUN FUN

Thursday 25 June 2009

Hi from Kim

The "Kingdom Culture" Conference started last night. We have experienced and learnt so much since we have been here that we almost wondered if there would be anything new and fresh. We prayed about this before we went in asking for the best wine at the end. God did not disappoint us! Steve Thompson from Morning Star spoke and he captured my attention right from the word go. We both thought it was one of the most significant messages that we have heard since we have been here. The basis was that God uses people with problems - there are no other kind! -Really understanding the heart and nature of God. We are bringing the DVD back.

I am reading The Shack at the moment and finding it revelatory - it certainly challenges our "old man on the throne" image of God - I love it!

On Monday we climbed Mt Lassen from 8500 - 10500ft at the top. I was in my element! The natural beauty was amazing. About 20 -25% of the climb was on snow and there were people climbing up and skiing down. We indulged in some "sledging without sledges" ie sliding down freestyle in our waterproof trousers! Great fun! Probably not what you expected us to be doing in Calafornia in late June!

Kim says
Yesterday I went to the healing rooms - I like the "Encounter room" best, which is where people "wait" before they go into the healing rooms for prayer. The Encounter Room has a worship group, prophetic art and is a great place to meet with God! I was dancing in worship and felt prompted to go ask a lady if she wanted me to pray for her. She had been suffering from vertigo and had been flat in bed the day before. We asked the Holy Spirit to come and God healed her. She started wandering around and then started spinning! The look on her and her friend's face was great - surprise and joy. She shared what had happened over the sound system and then somone else asked her to pray for them. God is so good. I also prayed fora couple of other people including a lady who had emotional/mind difficulties and she felt light and joyful. I saw her again this morning with a big smile on her face.
Afterwards I went on a Treasure Hunt and my group had opportunity to pray with 5 people and bring God's goodness.

Saturday 20 June 2009

More miracles. Today was a great day for miracles - I will let Kim tell her story on another posting.
Not everyone we pray for gets healed straight away but today I saw 4 in a row in the Healing Rooms; I was praying with Karen and one of the first people we prayed with needed to be baptised in the Spirit, we prayed for him and he felt the power and joy of God and started speaking in tongues immediately, he left very happy, but this was not the start of the healings that God was about to do.
A lady with a blood clotting disorder had pain in her legs for many years, as we prayed the power of God overcame her, she ended up on the floor and we covered her with a blanket. As she lay there God set her free from some other things and her leg pain improved remarkably.
Next we prayed for a lady with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Reynauds Syndrome - God touched her powerfully and then she realised that her back had been healed. She had lived with this pain for so many years she had not asked us to pray for it, but God healed it anyway.
Then we prayed for a young guy with joint problems (probably the most amazing clicking in his joints I have ever heard, with associated pain) - God set him free from this and the look of amazement on his face is a great memory. He was Happy !!
Lastly we prayed for a young lady who had broken her wrist in Karate a few years ago; it did not heal properly and she had restricted movement with pain. Also for the last 3 months she had swelling, pain and bruising around her thumb and couldn't move it properly. In the encounter room God restored movement to her thumb, and then when we prayed for her we literally watched the swelling and bruising disappear in front of our eyes. The pain left her wrist and she regained full movement, even to the extent of taking her body weight on her wrist. She was struggling to believe it, smiling, laughing and hugging us. Another great memory.
God wants to heal people, and he has no trouble doing it if we will pray simple faith filled prayers, rather than trying to produce the healing ourselves through our own prayer efforts. Faith really does work - because he is an awesome God.

Friday 19 June 2009

Evidence of a miracle ? !!!

Picture of Pete playing an instrument in worship.

Kerry probably sounded much better.

Wednesday 17 June 2009

We're back - actually we haven't been away, just a little slack with the blog. Apologies. But where are those comments - we love to be encouraged by your comments on the blog. Keep them coming (or start them coming!).
We heard some good stuff in the staff meeting today, probably the pick of the bunch was about some guys who went to Disneyland in Los Angeles and ended up having a 4 and 1/2 hour healing session with up to 120 healings and 50 people responding to Jesus. We will give you the full version on return (July 22nd School of Supernatural Ministry at NKCC should be good, also July 19th at NKCC - get your seat belts ready!)
Time is flying by and we can hardly believe that we will back in the UK in 4 weeks and then off to Rendezvous in France. Still many people would think 4 weeks in Bethel was a luxury (not to mention the sun and the swimming pool !) so we are not complaining. Actually we feel that God is starting to prepare us for our return. God has spoken to us in so many amazing ways, it is truly awesome and the future looks very exciting at NKCC, North Kent generally, and reaching into the UK and France.
Even today we had an amazing prophesy given to us by a lady (Lorraine) at the end of the staff meeting - this was about 2 doors opening up in front of us, doors of revelation and grace which merged into one and that would bring us into new territory that has already been given to us but we are still contending for, and that we will influence some of the traditional structures in the UK. When we talked with Lorraine and showed her about the NKCC building project she was amazed by the favour that God is giving us and believed that this was part of what she was seeing. Please keep praying with us for the release of the land at Springhead to us so that we can press forward with this great project.
We met with Paul Manwaring today and discussed a number of things, in particular the development of the NKCC school of supernatural ministry - God has definitely confirmed to us some of the dreams we have for this, and we are very excited about pushing this on.
So much to say ......

On the theme of Treasure Hunts (where we go out with clues given by God to find his treasure i.e. people that he loves and wants to bless - that is everyone, but he directs us to specific people at specific times) - Kim says " I have been on three Treasure Hunts. These are a great way of opening up the possibility of praying for people and letting God’s goodness into their lives. We have had opportunities to pray for health issues, family relationships and diffiiculties and financial needs. I must admit that it takes courage to walk up to people you don’t know and ask to pray for them and I am often dead scared or awkward, but the worst they can say is “no”. The groups I have been in have probably prayed for about 10 people. One lady we prayed for had ongoing back pain. After prayer she said that her pain was much less and then started lifting her legs up. Surprised, she said “I can lift up my legs – that’s a bonus!” I am hoping to go out again on Saturday or next Wednesday."
Great stuff.

Hope you like the picture of the sunset over Whiskeytown Lake.

Friday 12 June 2009

It has rained a lot over the past two weeks, which is highly unusual in June over here, and it has been a bit of a disappointment for Kerry who was hoping for more sunshine. We are wondering whether God is speaking to us through this period of rain - possibly a sign?!

We went to visit Mount Shasta the other day but couldn't see all of it because of cloud and it was very cold at 7000ft. However, we visited McCloud and Burney waterfalls which were very lovely. We had lunch at the Black Bear Grill - now that is a burger, a full 12 ounce! Also enjoy the video clip below.

We have also enjoyed Whiskeytown Lake which is very beautiful and has some nice walks near it - we especially like Brandy Creek.

Yesterday morning all three of us, plus Yannick and Marie, joined in the Intercessors session - an opportunity to be "pampered spiritually" as their team set up the room in a very creative way, establish a very peaceful, tranquil, spirit charged atmosphere and then gently pray and prophesy over you. There are stations where they wash your hands, and one for your feet, a communion table, and an anointing section - it is an amazing experience.

It is Kerry's last day here today, so I am praying for more sunshine - it has just arrived, yeah !!

Monday 8 June 2009

It was another good weekend. Friday was rainy here, apparently very unusual in June, Saturday cloudy and Sunny sunnier. We had some people round for a meal on Saturday afternoon - including Yannick and Marie from Rennes, and Rusty and Janet who are from here but soon to be in France for 3 months. When they arrived Rusty and Yannick recognised each other having met in France before - God is amazing at orchestrating things as we had no idea of this beforehand.
Saturday evening we went to the drum circle worship session which was great fun, uplifting and inspiring; you could feel the presence of God.There was a group who led the time, but anyone could bring their Bongo Drum (? Jembay) to join in. Paul West got to participate on the big drum and led the drumming for a bit- he thought he was already in heaven. There is so much variety of creative expression here in music, drama, dance art etc. We plan to develop similar in NKCC - get those bongos ready! Hopefully the short video clip will give you some idea of what we experienced.
After that we went to the Sundial bridge and had a drink at a cafe there, sitting outside listening to some live music - God is good.

Sunday morning Kris Vallotton spoke - again I thought this was a brilliant message, challenging and thought provoking. I would recommend listening to the podcast. Sunday evening Paul Manwaring spoke an excellent message and then we set off to In N Out burger where we met some South Africans who are part of a church in London; we had an excellent chat with them and discovered many common links - when I mentioned Julian Adams, one of them said "I am supposed to be meeting him !".
Small world or divine appointment ??

Another thought from the Healing Rooms. There is a man working there whose wife died of breast cancer not long ago - he has now made it his aim to see 1 million woman healed of this disease. He has prayed for a few women and recently saw his first, complete, medically confirmed healing. What a great tribute to this man and his wife, and also to God who wants to give us victory over sickness.

Last year there was a youth event in Atlanta (Jesus Culture) and some of the young people went into town to speak to people and pray for them. Some of them went into a department store and prayed for a young man who had broken his neck in a car accident about 6 weeks previously - he was quadriplegic (paralysed in all four limbs) and in a wheelchair. He was prayed for and there in the department store he got out of his wheelchair and walked. We have recently received reports that this young man has now been signed up to play for a soccer team. Amazing !

Sunday 7 June 2009

Highlights from the Healing Rooms yesterday:
A 91 year old lady who was "legally blind" (very poor eyesight) had been prayed for at her home church and received a degree of healing such that she could read a large print Bible, yesterday in the healing rooms she was able to read small print - yeah!
A 70 year old lady had an injury to her back when she was 9 years old - yesterday she moved her back normally for the first time in 61 years.
A man with broken ribs was healed in the "Encounter Room" before anyone prayed for him, later we prayed for him about various other issues.
A young lady (about 24) came in on crutches because of a knee injury, the knee was swollen and painful, probably with damaged cartilage. She was unable to put her weight on it. She was completely healed and the look of joy and bewilderment on her face as she burst into tears was fantastic to see.
Jesus is amazing and he is good. He paid the price for our healing on the cross and we want to give to him what he paid for.

Paul West went on a treasure hunt and saw a lady with a bad knee healed as he prayed for her. Kerry went on a treasure hunt and her team went to the Emergency Room of a local hospital and prayed for people awaiting treatment.

We will tell you about the Drum Circle worship soon - right now I am off to spend time with God (Kim is already there !!)

Thursday 4 June 2009

Kerry is now over with us for 2 weeks - she arrived late friday night and was straight in to the healing rooms on saturday morning, with another church thing on saturday afternoon. On sunday we went to morning and evening services.
Paul West, a young man from our church, is out here for 7 weeks. So on Tuesday we took him and Kerry out for the day to lassen volcanic park - Pete and I had visited there on our trip 18 months ago.
We left Redding at 9.15am and got back at quarter to one in the morning!
when we got to Lassen volcanic park we were told that the road we wanted to use was closed because of snow. We went up as far as we could and then had lunch, we were wrapped in towels that we had brought for possible swimming opportunities (It had been 40C in Redding!) We then drove to some lava tubes. these were formed by lava flows which have since dissolved out and become hollow. There was no light or guide - we just had flash lights which was fun.
after that we drove to the Cinder cone. this is an amazing landscape of old lava flows and an ash cone with a large crater in the middle of it. By this time it was beginning to rain but we set out anyway with Paul and Pete nobly letting Kerry and I wear the Kagoules. It is nothing like you have ever seen. The cone is just made of loose ash and cinder so it is definitely a 2 steps up and one step down experience!
We left there at about 5pm and drove one and a half hours to "The Devils Kitchen" which someone had told us about. It was half 6 before se set out on the 4 mile hike and we had already done over 5 miles at the cinder cone! Again, this was incredible - a stunning beautiful valley with meadows where we saw deer, through some forest that included Redwoods and then finally to this surreal landscape of clouds of steam among the trees, steam vents and bubbling mud. we had about 20 minutes there before we had to turn back so that we made it back in the light. We then stopped in Chester(population 2000) where Pete and I had stayed on our previous visit. We had steaks in a true small town american Diner and then started the 2 hour dirve back to Redding - a truly memorable day that left you in Awe of the creativity of God.
On Wednesday Pete and I went to staff meeting and Kerry and Paul went on treasure hunts. Paul saw a lady's knee healed infront of his eyes.
Kerry is at whiskey Town lake today with some of the young people from the church.

Tuesday 2 June 2009

Back on line !! Sorry we haven't blogged for a few days.

Friday was excellent at the Healing School, good teaching from Chris Gore and Joaquin Evans then out on a treasure hunt in the afternoon where we prayed for 4 people in about 40 minutes. Kim will give you more details about treasure hunts at some stage.

News about Ramona - the secondary tumour in her left leg definitely reduced in size and Sunday evening she got another healing in that she had been unable to lift one of her arms above her head since surgery but all of a sudden she could - Praise God. She and her husband, Earl, are such an encouragement with such great faith and joy.

There were numerous other healings over the weekend - one lady I prayed for in the Healing Rooms was instantly healed of a "trigger finger".
It felt like a significant weekend for Bethel church as Bill Johnson led the church into some new areas of faith - once again a privilege to be here and witness.

Today we are having a day out to visit Lassen Volcanic Park with Kerry and Paul West - should be a good day (somewhat hot - need the suncream !)

One last thought (indulging myself) - Chelsea won the FA Cup, yeah !! I watched the beginning before we went to the healing rooms (big sacrifice), but will look forward to watching a recording when we return to England. Commiserations to Man Utd fans re the Champions League. Thanks for indulging me !!

Thursday 28 May 2009

What a couple of days!

It was a great day for skin yesterday! Kim and I set off for the staff meeting at Bethel yesterday morning, but it was cancelled, so instead we went on a Treasure Hunt (God gives us clues that lead to people that he wants to bless). We went with a girl called Risa armed with our clues which tookus into town. One of our clues (from Kim) was the name Chuck - you have to think American over here! The first guy we met was Chuck! He allowed us to pray for him. We were then led to another couple of people who we prayed for. We stood around looking for more clues and Risa met a young guy she works with, we had no clues for him but God is not limited by our clues; we chatted with him and asked if we could pray for him and he asked us to pray about various circumstances none of which were health related. I noticed that he had a nasty, angry, skin lesion on his forearm which had pus in it. As we prayed for him I noticed a change in the skin lesion so I asked if we could pray for it. He said yes, so I put my thumb on it and prayed and it started to disappear before our eyes with new skin growing until only a small healthy pink area remained. He was amazed, and we all rejoiced.
Soon after we went back to the coffee shop at Bethel Church and were telling the healing story to someone we met there; a lady sitting eating her lunch overheard our testimony and showed us a very angry, sore and rough patch of eczema on her neck which was causing a lot of discomfort. She asked for prayer so I simply put my hand on the area and God gave her new skin.
A couple of hours later we went to the Healing School which is running Wednesday to Friday and I was asked to give the testimony - at the end of the first session a young guy from England asked me to pray for his foot which had a very nasty rash on it (present for about 8 months). We prayed and immediately it started to get better before our eyes - it has continued to improve and is now almost completely gone.
And then we were asked to pray for a young lady, Ramona, with a leg ulcer following Radiotherapy for Sarcoma ( a nasty form of cancer). This cancer has spread to other parts of her body and our hearts were really stirred for her and her husband. We prayed with no obvious immediate effect.
Today we have seen too many healings to remember at the Healing School: a lady who has had a bad back for 7 years following a car crash with associated loss of feeling in her leg - completely healed; a lady with a bad neck for 4 years after a car crash crying with joy as she was completely healed; a man with a bad knee for 40 (yes forty!) years following a baseball injury, jumping up and down on his healed knee.
And Ramona - she has secondary tumours in various parts of her body. This evening one of the tumours in her upper left leg/groin just shrank radically in size in a matter of minutes - please Jesus complete her healing.
What can we say God is good. I have never seen Kim so anointed by God, and she is stepping out boldly in great faith.
Tonight we had a fire/impartation tunnel to impart spiritual gifts to us (as Paul did to Timothy in the Bible) - it was extraordinarily powerful and joyful. Our faith is growing to new levels and our joy is increasing.

Tuesday 26 May 2009

What are we up to? Being back at Faith's house is a great blessing - much better than living out of a suitcase. God is very good to us.
I am reading "The Shack" at the moment and God is speaking to me through it; I felt that He said that he had brought me specifically here and would continue to draw me into a closer relationship with Him. Our "schedule" is less hectic now, and both Kim and I are enjoying the intimacy of God and enjoying his goodness in all that he has provided for us - it is beautiful and restful here.
Bill Johnson spoke on Sunday (24th May) and I thought the message was outstanding (I listened to him twice!!) - I highly recommend listening to the Podcast.
Tomorrow we start the Healing School until Friday evening and then Kerry arrives for 2 weeks which will be great.
We'll keep you posted.

Sunday 24 May 2009

Healing Rooms again yesterday - what an amazing atmosphere of joy, hope and peace. I prayed for a man who had severe pain in his back and hips; he came in limping and using a walking stick, unable to move his back much - he left pain free, walking normally and with no stick. A lady with a large leg ulcer was prayed for and the ulcer visibly reduced in size and got healthier. They also do Skype calls for healing - a lady with Diabetes called received prayer then went to check her sugar levels; half an hour later she phoned back to say her level was normal.
And now my favourite - a few weeks ago a man from Fresno with oesophageal cancer came and was prayed for, he went and got checked at his hospital and was found to be healed. His doctors were amazed. Now, almost every week, he brings other people to the Healing Rooms to be healed - the first week a lady with quite severe leg problems was totally healed. This man has now produced a testimony tract with directions to Bethel Healing Rooms on it. Come on !!

Kim went on a treasure hunt yesterday with 4 others - they paryed for 5 people on the streets of Redding in just over an hour.

The last 3 evenings have been very social - Thursday with Jim and Annette Littier, Friday with Faith and Saturday with Neil and Sanette and their 5 children. Kim enjoyed reading bedtime stories to the children.

Off to the Sunday morning meetings now - we wonder what is in store?

Thursday 21 May 2009

We are back from the coast and feeling rested, which was necessary as we have been very busy for 4 weeks. We stayed at a beautiful bed and breakfast with a room overlooking the sea and with the sounds of sealions and seals; there was a steep path down to the beach with the last bit negotiated with the help of a rope! Afternoon tea (or wine) was included, and it was very pleasant.
We took ourselves off to see the Giant Redwoods on Tuesday - these trees can be up to 360 feet tall and over 20 feet in diameter. As we walked through a forest of them it was quite magical, especially as the sun was filtered through some mist. We both marvelled at God's creation and felt more in awe of Him.
We also saw some elk (big deer) and other wildlife.

Now we are back in Redding and staying in a small cabin before we move back to Faith's house tomorrow.
We have been here for 5 weeks now, and time is going quickly; a few refelections on things so far - we both feel closer to God; being involved in the commissioning of almost 1000 students with a burning passion to show God's love, goodness and power to the world felt like a moment of history; understanding a "Culture of Honour" is vitally important, particularly for the UK; how to extend the Kingdom of God and what this means will take a lot of outworking; we feel privileged to have time to interact with all sorts of people here.

Remember Tarry - she is from Wisconsin and she sent this testimony through to Chris Gore and I following our visit there.
Name: TARRY Meyer Country: USASubject: healed knee.Testimony: On may 9th Dr. peter ministered healing over my knee.HE released the oil of heaven into my knee, and asked for a new knee. The bone and joint doctor told me that i had no cartilage in my knee and the bones were crushing on each other. I would need a knee replacement. i have been dragging my leg around and in terrible pain for years. It would come and go.Doctor Jesus touched it and the pain left and it is stronger than even my other knee, praise him.I am bike riding everyday, pain free. Thank you lord that i can start my day praying and kneeling on my reconstructed new knee.THE NEXT MORNING AT MY CHURCH I SHARED THE TESTIMONY.A man was to have open heart surgery done, the following week. I said let me pray for you. i commanded the kingdom over him, like you showed us to do chris I said father give him a perfect heart rythem. I felt the shock wave of daddy release from my hand. Daddy shook me really hard on saturday and i new the power released from laying my hands on his heart, it was a done deal. i told him the doctor is going to send you home, doctor Jesus just healed your heart. He knew it to. We both opened our eyes and when the power hit him he felt better instantly. May God richly bless you always. In Jesus Name.

Monday 18 May 2009

We are taking a couple of days break over on the Pacific Coast - we will post some more details when we get back to Redding. Just to say the giant redwoods are amazing.

Saturday 16 May 2009

The rodeo is in town !! Kim and I took ourselves along on Thursday evening for a new experience, and learned a new vocabulary - mutton busting, steer wresting, twin roping are all familiar to us now, and we can Yee Ha with the rest (not much of that really). It was good fun. Sorry for the quality of the picture but hopefully it gives you some idea. We sat next to a guy who had previously lived in Alaska and he told us they had a 600 mile round trip to buy their groceries whilst there !!

Friday morning we had the privilege of time with Bill Johnson; he is such a lovely man, full of humility, grace and generosity. We felt truly blessed. Then we both spent time with God which was great. In the afternoon, once again privileged, we were able to join in the last day of the school of Supernatural Ministry; excellent worship and then witnessing Bill and Kris anoint and commission every student (about 940) with such love and honour.

In the evening I took myself off to the pre-meeting prayer meeting (if you have been there you will know, if not get there sometime!); there were young and old encountering God together. I was especially drawn to a young boy of about 6 years who was simply enjoying God. Then we went into the meeting and after more worship Bob Jones spoke - he is like a grandfather and spoke with such tenderness and kindness, as he relayed what God had been speaking about with him. We truly appreciated him and he had some fantastic spiritual insights, especially the dangers of allowing offence to grow in you and the bad fruit that it will produce. I pray for God to help us stay away from holding any offence against others - forgiveness and love are so powerful.

This morning we went to the Healing Rooms and prayed for loads of people (200+); just one story for you - I prayed for a man from Holy Trinity Brompton, London and God met with him powerfully. His daughter was healed to a large degree of hearing difficulty and when I chatted with her I discovered that she is spending a year in St Petersberg, Russia and goes to a church led by friends of ours there, so I prayed for blessing to be carried back there.

It is warming up again here, we will look forward to returning to air conditioning next weekend.

One last thought - when I say I am sitting in Hebrews you need to understand that the coffee shop at the church is called HeBrews, just in case you were confused!

Thursday 14 May 2009

Sitting here in Hebrews reflecting on an amazing couple of days (I think I must be saying that a lot). Both Kim and I had a profound encounter with God yesterday that is difficult to explain on a blog or by email. For me it was a new experience of the Holy Spirit. Bob Jones spoke at the School of Supernatural Ministry and related to us a prophetic journey dating back over 30 years and which was coming to fulfilment this week with the graduation and commissioning of almost 1000 students from this school - it was an extraordinary moment. He had seen the release of 1000 people and the subsequent consequences with "light" diffusing all over the world. We were pleased just to be observing.
Then we went into a session with year 2 where Bill Johnson laid hands on every student commissioning them - the spiritual atmosphere was amazing, Kim and I stood to the side and encountered God; then we realized God was catching us up in what was happening and shortly after Bill came and laid hands on us. It was like "this is what we were made for" and what God has been fashioning in our lives for the past 30 years.
Kim and I sat and chatted for about an hour and a half about our individual experiences of the moment, which coincided in our shared vision and purpose.
This has stretched our hearts wider and we are more in love and in awe of God than ever.
We love our friends in the UK, France and Africa (as well as others) and look forward to sharing what we have with you.

Tuesday 12 May 2009

Sitting here with my iPod enjoying God - what amazing grace to be able to draw close to our heavenly Father any time we want.
One of our favourite things here, so far, has been attending the School of Supernatural Ministry - on Friday we experienced a turbo charged time of worship, and similarly today worshipping with about 900 students of all ages delighting in God was fantastic. As you experience this school here you believe that the world can be changed by the love and power of God. I am now dreaming of reproducing the same in the UK to affect our nation, Europe and Southern Africa in particular (that is what God is putting on my heart) and I believe that we can do it.
The presence of God is so tangible, and the culture of Bethel Church, especially the culture of honour, is vital in hosting His presence. We are learning and absorbing as much as we can.
We heard Bill Johnson twice today; we love learning from him - such wisdom and revelation.

Monday 11 May 2009

Today is moving day. It is hard to believe that we have already been here for over 3 weeks; as most people left after the Leaders Advance we felt very privileged to be staying on and absorbing more of God's goodness and power.

We have left Faith's house for about 11 days whilst she has some other friends to stay - she has been so generous to us.

God has once again provided brilliantly for us - we have moved into a one bedroom cottage on the other side of Redding in a rural area, it is very homely. Within 20 minutes a turkey came to visit and even "gobbled" for us. Apparently deer come as well. Less welcome are the mosquitoes with whom we have already started a battle (need to buy some repellant tomorrow) and apparently we need to be on the lookout for rattlesnakes !! I don't think we will venture too far in the dark.
We are getting ready for another Spirit filled week - it is the last week of the School of Supernatural Ministry so we intend to make the most of it (maybe slow down a bit next week - maybe); Bob Jones is speaking sometime this week so it could be quite a ride.

Saturday 9 May 2009

Kevin Dedmon spoke at the meeting last night, he was hilarious and told some amazing healing stories particularly about people being healed of cancer.
I took myself off to the Healing Rooms this morning; they have really accepted us as part of the team and I feel like a fish in water. I was paired up with a lady called Julie; the first lady we prayed for had numerous ailments with pain in various parts of her body, as we prayed she immediately fell to the floor under the power of God and started laughing her head off. She remained on the floor laughing for about an hour, and when she got up she was completely pain free.
We prayed for a man with Diabetes and God gave me a prophetic word for him (personal) which consisted of just two letters of the alphabet - I and H, I explained what I thought God was saying and he looked at me in amazement and told me that before I said anything that God had spoken to him and said that he was going to receive his I and H back but he had no idea what it meant. He started to cry and God began to set him free and renew his mind.
Another lady came in from the encounter room (waiting area) absolutely beaming - she had come with pain in her shoulders, arms and hands which had been disabling her for years, but God healed her before she got to us, she was pain free and was so excited that she would be able to start her hobby of sewing again. She then let us pray for her diabetes.
That was just what happened with the two of us, and there were about 10 teams praying for people.
This afternoon Kim and I went for a lovely walk alongside a river with beautiful waterfalls - it has rained really hard here recently and the rivers are very full and the lakes are getting fuller, which is great as a drought had been predicted.
This evening Kim and I bought a BBQ Tritip (a sort of steak) from a supermarket - this is a must for any meat lover coming to Northern California. David would love it here !!!

Friday 8 May 2009

Here's a great thought that I just read in the Azusa Street book. A woman was praying for a young girl with deformed legs which required her to have braces on them, she had been prayed for before with "no success" and had little expectation of being healed. The lady said to her "It will break Jesus' heart if you are not healed"; that changed the atmosphere a bit, they prayed again and unsurprisingly the little girl was completely healed.
Jesus' heart of love and compassion towards people and the fact that he has paid the price for our forgiveness and healing should give us great confidence/faith.
I want to understand the heart of Jesus better by drawing closer to Him. I am off to spend time with Him right now.

Thursday 7 May 2009

Kim says - we have had a very busy few days since Pete got back on Monday, at the "Leaders Advance conference". We met people from all over the world - but tried to connect mainly with people from the UK. It was a bit lonely while Pete was away but I had plenty to keep me busy. I heard an amazing guy called James Maloney speak. He has seen amazing healings. I feel that I am growing in God, my closeness to Him is increasing and my expectation of seeing him move in supernatural ways is increasing. I don't think I will be able to articulate all that God is doing. I am having a great time.

I have been looking on the internet for somewhere for us to live next week. This morning we went to see a 1 bedroom cabin, next to someone's home in an "upmarket" country area. It was really nice so we are going there for 7 - 11 days starting on Monday. It has got a "porch" (veranda) and apparently deer come right in front of the porch must evenings and mornings - even if you are sitting out - so I am looking forward to that. After that we can move back to Faith's house for the rest of our 3 months. God has been so faithful in providing accommodation for us.

Today it is back in to about 27C - we have just had 6 days of more of less continuous rain - often torretial. I went for a walk along the river trail today - the Sacremento and the creeks running into it were much higher - also pools have appeared in the meadows near the river - very pretty! We were at a meal at Kris Vallotton's (one of the Bethel leaders) on Monday and definitely saw a humming bird at one of their feeders.

Pete says - the return from Wisconsin was less eventful despite our flight from Chicago to San Francisco being cancelled and us having to be rescheduled. I arrived back about 3.30pm at Redding Airport and we went straight to a meal with leaders from around the globe which was great.

The Leaders Advance Conference was great fun, we met lots of people, let me mention a few - Julian Adams, Simon Holley from Bedford, Chris Cartwright from Cardiff, Rupert Foxwell from Tonbridge. We were thoroughly encouraged and received many prophetic words about having an impact on the UK. There were some great testimonies as well; one man had about 12 benign tumours simply disappear from his body; a man had his ankle healed and took off running around the auditorium; a lady who used to work with the United Nations but now works as a "Christian Ambassador" told how she has been asked to advise about 20 African heads of state and recently met Bono to talk with him about abolishing poverty. Amazing stuff.

We are looking forward to a slightly less hectic schedule for a while - we'll keep you posted.

Sunday 3 May 2009

This is Eileen, she has been profoundly deaf since birth. She does not hear anything.

This morning, Sunday 3rd May 2009, she was prayed for and she started to hear - she could hear music, and then spoken words, although she cannot understand the words as yet since she has never heard them before!

She was extremely happy. Praise the name of Jesus.

This is Marie - she used to suffer from Multiple Sclerosis being confined to a wheelchair, needing a constant IV tube in place for feeding etc, and she had regular seizures.

In 2005 God healed her and she remains healthy to this day. She is an active member of Prince of Peace church in Tomahawk, Wisconsin.

This is Tarry, she is a truck driver. She had serious problems with her left knee, with lots of pain and grinding of the joint, meaning that she needed a knee replacement.

She no longer needs the operation; God healed on Saturday 2nd May 2009, and she was able to move her knee and squat up and down without any pain or grinding of the knee. She was ecstatic!

Many thanks to Prince of Peace church, Tomahawk, Wisconsin for welcoming us this weekend.

Sunday 6.20pm - Chris and I have just got back to the hotel after a great afternoon with some of the folks here enjoying good food, fun, stories etc. We had a great morning meeting and saw more people healed and touched in other ways by God. We have been given a very warm welcome.

Now we are tired, ready for a bit of rest then off back to Redding - hopefully quicker than we got here! It certainly was a long journey out.

I thought I would give you a few photos with testimonies alongside - separate postings seems the easiest way for now.

Also for more healing testimonies why not look at Chris Gore's website http://www.kingdomreleasers.org/testimonies.html

Saturday 2 May 2009

It is 11pm Saturday so just a quick update with more details and photos to follow.

Having a great time in Tomahawk - we had 19 healing testimonies this afternoon alone. We saw one lady who was in need of a knee replacement completely healed, and various others including bad backs and nose problems. Also talked to 2 ladies completely healed of Multiple Sclerosis in the past.

The journey here was interesting - delay at San Francisco meant that we had to stay overnight in Chicago minus our bags. Very glad to reach Tomahawk after 27 hours and to be reunited with our bags. The pleasures of travelling ministry !

More details will follow ...............

Off to bed now. Full day tomorrow then have to get up at 3.30am Monday morning for the journey back - Joy !!

Thursday 30 April 2009

I am off to Tomahawk Wisconsin today with Chris Gore returning on Monday; Chris is doing a "Healing" weekend for a church there - should be fun. It's quite a way - 3 flights to get there.
Kim is staying in Redding and will be busy with all sorts of stuff, especially with people flying in for the Leaders Advance next week.

Tuesday 28 April 2009

Talk about temperature change - last Monday was 95F, this week about60F. However, we have been assured that it will get a lot hotter !

Yesterday we went up to Mount Shasta and drove up to 7000 ft then got out and walked in the snow (it also snowed gently on us); before that we had stopped off at Castle Crags and walked for about 3 hours in an amazing landscape, ascending about 2000ft. Following our walk we were hungry (to say the least) so we went to the Black Bear Grill and had a very sufficient meal which we thoroughly enjoyed. In the evening we drove back to Redding and stopped off at Applebees for a dessert. God is good to us! We had a great day off together. One thing that amused us was seeing bullet holes in road signs which have been used for target practice - could make for interesting driving !

Today we spent time with God this morning; both of us are enjoying the time to rest in God's presence, and also to read more. Kim is now enjoying the book about Azusa Street as well. Then we took ourselves off to Bethel where we went into 2nd year of the school; they were starting their afternoon with testimonies some of which were amazing - one young man told of a recent trip to Tijuana in Mexico where they prayed for a Pastor who was at death's door from cancer; they started to pray for him and he started to improve, they left him in the presence of God and then he was totally healed, got up and got dressed. Another guy told about his parents who want to start the first year of the School of Supernatural Ministry but are having financial difficulties at present - recently they had a meal with a man who has invented some new system of solar panels who gave them $120,000. Then another testimony of a young man going home for Easter and being asked to speak at his home church - God told him to scrap his sermon and prophesy and pray, with the result of 20 people healed and 5 became Christians.

After this we went and saw an excellent dance and drama production by the students - great fun. Then we sat in on some teaching by Danny Silk and this evening we had a meal with Danny and Sheri.
A great couple of days.

Sunday 26 April 2009

It is interesting speaking the same language but having different meanings. We are learning to understand "Are you short of gas?" (not usually a problem!); "Pop the hood"; eating "chips" with your drink; "Blacktop" (that is tarmac). However, my favourite so far was in the healing rooms yesterday when a guy was asked to "pull up his pants to show his ankle" (pants = trousers), that would be one long pair of pants !
We are enjoying the culture, and the warmth of welcome we are receiving; everyone wants to know where we are from as they soon detect we are not American.
Healing Rooms yesterday was excellent - creating the atmosphere of heaven so that healing would follow. There were a number of great testimonies - a lady with cancer who left pain free (further news awaited), a man healed of a knee problem, back pain gone. Great stuff. 116 people were prayed for - they have had to double the room size to cope with demand.
It was a long session for the team from 8am to 1.30pm, but very worthwhile.
After that Kim and I went for a walk near Whiskeytown Lake along a trail beside Brandy Falls - it was very lovely (see the photo).

On friday evening we went to the Revival meeting which was excellent - Harold Eberle spoke about relationships and we both found him very stimulating. He is speaking again Sunday evening.

This morning I spent time with God before we went to the meeting and when I went to shave I noticed gold dust on my face - encouraging; and then we had an awesome time of worship led by Chris Quilala.

Eric Johnson (Bill's son) gave testimony about when he was in Kenya he prayed for a young man who shortly after won the Marathon at the Olympic Games, and apparently he has just won the London Marathon.

Loads of stuff happening. Tomorrow we plan to go to Mount Shasta and around there for a day out.

Friday 24 April 2009

Friday morning - Kim has just been in the "Soaking Room" at Faith's house (she says it was great) and I was in another room encountering God. I'm learning to be with Him and let Him take me places - we've watched a couple of great sunsets together so far (me and God that is, not sure where we were!).
I am reading a book of stories from the Azusa Street Revival ("They told me their stories" by Tommy Welchel) - it is stirring up things in me and creating a desire to see such things in North Kent. It happened in a simple warehouse - the activity and presence of God does not depend on special premises.
Kim is reading about John G Lake.
We can't settle for anything less.
We love our NKCC family and believe this investment of time will have awesome consequences - thanks everyone. Also our wonderful friends in France and Kent. Thanks for the comments on the blog they really encourage us - Hi to Claire and Imogen, Nick Harrison, Joel Trefcon.

Yesterday I was stirred to send an email to someone with the conviction it would carry an anointing from God - I was really affected as I sent it. I look forward to seeing the outcome.

Is this what is meant by living a supernatural life? MORE LORD.

We had a great time with the intercessors yesterday and they imparted their gifts to Kim and I. We have received so much in just one week, what will it be like after 3 months!! Tomorrow we will embark on our adventure in the Healing Rooms.

I am listening to a song at the moment "I am a friend of God" - amazing truth.

One last comment - GLORY GLORY GLORY, HOLY IS OUR LORD GOD.

Wednesday 22 April 2009

Tuesday started with us meeting with Pastors from around the area for a time of fellowship and encouragement. Once again there were some excellent testimonies, and we were struck by their affection for one another.
At the end of the meeting they prayed for us and prophesied - once again extremely accurately and helpful, affirming and confirming things in us. They were very accurate about our recent circumstances, and then one of the men gave us the word "Forerunner" - this is now the fifth time this word has been given to us. Amazing stuff.
We then went and had lunch with three of them and they continued to encourage us and prophesy - they had stuff about influencing other nations and were very excited about our building project (they had obviously heard about it before as they said "Oh you're the ones!" and asked us to pray for them and impart some of the same favour and blessing.
I then went to a "Strategic Planning Workshop" and heard Kris Vallotton and Paul Manwaring which was great and helped me to appreciate more about the culture of honour here. In the evening we had a meal at the Littiers - such a nice family.
Wednesday I had my SOZO with Faith - very good and helpful, bringing greater light and freedom. I then had the privilege of sitting in a Bethel Leaders meeting and introducing myself. Meanwhile Kim decided to take herself off for a walk with God beside the Sacramento River (beautiful), and we met up at lunchtime and went to the School of Supernatural Ministry for the afternoon. Quite a day.
Tomorrow morning (Thursday) we are going to a session with the Intercessors - should be great, hold your hats! We'll keep you posted.

Monday 20 April 2009

What a great weekend. We are feeling thoroughly spoilt by God and his people here at Bethel.

We had an excellent evening with Faith and Judy Frankland on Saturday, talking about all sorts of things and then they prayed for us and prophesied over us which was very powerful. We are discovering more about God and experiencing Him more - a great hunger is within us both, to really know God better not just know about Him.

Bill Johnson's brother, Bob, spoke at Bethel yesterday with his wife - they are a lively couple doing an amazing work amongst drug addicts, dealers, prostitutes on the streets of San Francisco.
We experienced our first "Fire Tunnel" of this trip last night - MORE LORD !!

We also heard some great tesimonies - someone healed of cancer, another person healed of serious burns to the face, people no longer needing walking sticks to help them walk. YEAH !

We have connected with quite a lot of people already and have all sorts of opportunities to interact with people and programmes. Today we will continue to get ourselves orientated and rest some more; tomorrow we will be at the church building and see what happens !!

Saturday 18 April 2009

We have arrived safely in California - it was a long journey with some delay to the flight then rush hour traffic in San Francisco. We tried out American radio on the journey up to Redding; some of the stations were definitely "interesting" to the English ear, I think our "favourite" song was on "Pig Radio" all about ice hockey (blood on the ice, fights, etc).

Faith gave us a very warm welcome to her lovely home, we chatted for a while then headed off to bed and managed a decent amount of sleep despite the time difference.

Kim and I awoke to sunshine and had breakfast outside overlooking the mountains of Lassen Volcanic Park - very beautiful. God is very good to us.

From the front of the house you get a view of Mount Shasta.

Nearby we have found a lovely path to walk (or jog!) along by theside of the Sacramento River.

Faith gave us a tour of Redding and in the evening we had a lovely meal at Nello's restaurant with Faith and Dawna & Steve De Silva.

Tuesday 14 April 2009

Less than 2 Days to go until we start our California adventure and we think we are doing ok with our preparations.
We had an amazing weekend; it was Kim's birthday on Friday and she had an amazing present on Thursday evening with the news that David will be starting work in Maidstone in August and that he and Jo will be moving to New Ash Green and will be part of NKCC. We even got to go house hunting witrh them over the weekend. We also saw Kerry briefly before she went skiing for the week.
On Saturday we had a farewell party with some friends who prayed and prophesied over us which was hugely encouraging.
Easter Sunday was great and quite emotional - our last time with NKCC for 3 months.
Thanks to all our friends and family for your love and support.
Next post will be from California I guess !!

Wednesday 8 April 2009

Hello to you all - this is our first attempt at blogging !
It won't be long now before Kim and I start our adventure in Redding California. Preparations are under way!! Glad to say we have someone living in the house and looking after it while we are away.
We will be staying with Faith Blatchford for the first three and a half weeks - after that we will see. We feel like Abraham - God has told us to go to Bethel in Redding and the details will get filled in as we go.
We have three main purposes in our visit
  • to understand the culture of the church that enables so many amazing things to happen
  • to build friendships
  • to receive something special that we can bring home with us and then share with others

We also know that we will discover more about ourselves and the goodness and greatness of God

We feel very privileged to have this time, and we are sure that it will be a special time for the two of us. California is a beautiful place (note the picture of Yosemite which we visited in 2007) and we will look forward to enjoying its natural beauty.

We will miss family and friends, and you will be in our thoughts. Thanks for all the support we have received.

Pete and Kim
